FinanceCruncher provides free finance calculators without requiring an account. This page describes what information the site uses and how it is handled.
Calculator inputs
Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you enter are used to update estimates on the page and are not sent to FinanceCruncher for storage. Do not enter sensitive personal financial details into these tools.
Email signup
If you subscribe for seasonal calculator reminders, we collect the email address you submit and a signup source (for example homepage, calculator, or checkup). That information is stored with our email provider, Resend, so we can send occasional product notes at open enrollment, tax season, and year-end about seasonal tools and contribution or tax updates. We do not sell your email address. We keep your address only while you remain subscribed. Unsubscribing removes you from the list; you can also ask us to delete your address by contacting hello@financecruncher.com. The signup form may use your IP address only to limit abuse. A short-lived hash of that address may be stored to enforce the limit; it is not stored with your contact record.

Analytics
In production, FinanceCruncher uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as page views, referral sources, and general device or browser characteristics. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner, or if you previously saved that choice. Google may collect information including IP address, cookies, and identifiers associated with your visit when analytics is enabled. FinanceCruncher does not use analytics to collect the financial values you type into calculators.

Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies to recognize returning visits and measure traffic after you accept analytics cookies in the site banner (or if you previously saved that choice). FinanceCruncher may also use local browser storage for site functionality, such as remembering calculator scenarios and your cookie preference on your device. These values stay on your device unless you clear them. You can change analytics cookies at any time with Cookie preferences in the site footer, which shows the banner again. Clearing site data for this site also resets that choice.
Hosting and logs
Like most websites, FinanceCruncher is served through hosting infrastructure that may automatically log technical information such as IP address, request time, and browser type for security and reliability. FinanceCruncher does not sell personal information.
Advertising
FinanceCruncher does not currently serve third-party advertising. If that changes, this page will be updated to describe any ad partners, additional cookies, and how they may use data before those services go live.
Children
FinanceCruncher is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
