Independence
FinanceCruncher does not accept lender placement, affiliate commissions, or payment for calculator rankings. Calculations use the values entered by the reader.
Research and sourcing
We prefer primary sources, including government agencies, statutes, regulator guidance, and published technical standards. Material claims should identify their source and date.
Review and updates
Calculators are reviewed for formula accuracy, boundary behavior, accessibility, assumptions, and plain-language interpretation. Time-sensitive pages are reviewed when source rules or datasets change; dates are changed only after a substantive review.
Use of automation
Software assists with calculations, testing, and drafting. A human-directed editorial process determines scope, validates formulas, reviews sources, and approves publication.
